As a former online college student, I can vividly remember bumming internet off restaurants when I lived in the dorms. 5 – Cici’s Pizza

Cici’s Pizza is obviously a pizza restaurant. It has a buffet that lasts all day long, and you don’t have to spend much money at all to get food here. I would move this further up in my list, but I’m not a huge fan of Cici’s pizza. Nevertheless, it is a cheap place to eat when you need to access the web. Wi-Fi isn’t available in all restaurant locations, so check with your local Cici’s before you go in. If they have wireless internet, you know you can go there in the future.

4 – Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings is a sports bar and grill serving great food at affordable prices. I used to serve at BWW back in the day, and I absolutely loved it there. The food is great, and the atmosphere is really laid back. The servers have decently large sections there, so they shouldn’t rush you out if you sit down to do homework for your online accounting courses there. On fight nights, people will sit in the same tables for four hours or more. The time you spend in yours will likely be nothing compared to that.

3 – Starbuck’s

I’m not a huge coffee drinker, but I must admit I like the atmosphere in Starbucks. It is always quiet, warm, and comfortable – the perfect place to study. Since I don’t drink coffee, I usually get a shake or Chi latte, depending on my mood that day. If you’re into that coffee shop vibe, this may be the perfect place for you to go when you need to bum internet off a restaurant.

No one “loves” McDonald’s, but most people can at least tolerate the food here. The reason I made this #2 on my list is because just about every McDonald’s offers free Wi-Fi, and you don’t have to spend much to use it. If you just get a $1 set of small fries, you can sit in a booth all day surfing the web. Seeing that you can find a McDonald’s literally anywhere you go, I figured this would be one of the most universal options around. 1 – IHOP

IHOP is open 24 hours a day, including all major holidays. No matter what time you need to use the internet, you can pick up on it at IHOP. The restaurant offers tons of great food for you to munch on, and you can get as many cups of hot coffee as you want. Tons of college students in my home town use IHOP as their study zone. They just get a cozy booth near an electrical outlet and go to town. You could do the same if you have an IHOP near you.

Some schools offer what is called a “Maymester,” which is a semester only for the month of May. This is almost always offered in a traditional school setup with a fall, spring, and summer semester.
